Sixo

Sixo, aka producer Scotty Trimble - known nationwide within the motocross community - has become the latest addition to the Fake Four roster. Growing up racing motocross, Scotty found he had a talent that would take him to many places. At age 17, Scotty found himself racing in California where his love for underground hip hop began. A good friend and professional skater introduced him to Anticon and it opened up a new world for the young racer. Even though Scotty had an older brother who played guitar in many  locally respected rock bands, he was never into music until hearing songs like "Farmers Market" for the first time. The new passion quickly escalated after buying two turntables and a mixer. Shortly after, he took a motorcycle stuntman job in the Batman stunt show at Six Flags over Holland. He brought his DJ equipment along, and meanwhile learned how to scratch and juggle records. After returning home, racing became a career, where he chiseled his own place in arenacross earning him the 9th rank nationally. Racing has always been his first passion, but the brutal sport leads to frequent injury and thus, downtime. It was in these healing periods where Sixo's love for producing began to develop.

While touring in 2004 with Imaginary Friends, his project with North Texas rappers Cainam and Poindexter, he was introduced to artists

such as 2mex, Awol One, Ceschi and Existereo. They gave him the opportunity to hone in on his skills and put his first producer album out in 2006 entitled "Fruits of Labor" which as been best described as an "underground gem". After successfully organizing his financial life and becoming a husband and father to twin girls, he started the hard grind of producing the album he always wanted to. Gathering all the knowledge and equipment he'd aquired over the years, Sixo set to make what he feels are his most accomplished projects to date. The first, a teaser EP entitled "Tracking Perception", released in March of 2012 on the Fake Four bandcamp. The second, a full length producer album entitled "Free Floating Rationales", released April 17th 2012 on Fake Four featuring Ceschi, Awol One, Myka 9, Sole, Gregory Pepper, Noah 23, Onry Ozzborn, Candy's .22, Moka Only, and many more. The 16 track album is laced wall-to-wall with some of the best mc's in the business, but in these two albums, Sixo also proves he can stand on his own with six mind-numbing instrumentals. Sixo, in his own words, best describes his role as an indie hip hop producer, "I'm just a fan making a stand for the conservation of a dying art".
